Kids and adults alike will be able to celebrate the joy of creation by physically building their very own underwater sea creatures and see them come to life in a huge, underwater digital LEGO aquarium! Trigger has a history of pushing the limits of Mixed Reality for LEGO, and are excited to have developed this flagship experience for LEGO’s very first brand-house. In the Fish Designer, guests can build a physical, LEGO brick fish and then scan and convert their custom fish design into a digital form. Once scanned, guests can add eyes and a mouth and then watch their own design come to life in a digital aquarium with other guests’ fish.
Thousands of user-generated fish will pass through the tank over time, creating a unique co-created world every day! Through careful design and research in collaboration with LEGO, Trigger developed an exciting fusion of digital and physical play, founded on creativity and exploration - by building physically and customizing digitally, users can explore how their creations act in their surroundings.
The opening of the House is a momentous occasion in LEGO history and members of the Danish Royal family were there to celebrate its opening on September 28, 2017.
Throughout this project, myself and team concepted, created and fully developed the digital environment, user-journey and software applications - creating integrations with cutting edge CV technologies and working with multiple hardware stakeholders to bring this incredible experience to life.
