LEGO tapped Trigger to develop a web app experience in order to promote and scale their LEGO Mosaic Maker sets. Our web app, inspired by the retail experience, was built for both mobile and desktop browsers to allow users to create their LEGO Mosaic with almost any photo from anywhere. Users are encouraged to snap or upload a photo to begin the experience; the web app is optimized for portraits of people but can also support images of pets, landscapes and more, with the ability to translate all image color variations to color match LEGO pieces.
There are six photo filters included in the web app, as well as zoom, scaling, and contrast customization features. Besides creating their digital LEGO Mosaic, users can also order a Mosaic Maker set online or find a LEGO store to make the purchase in person.
